SCREEN SHOT OF ArcEXPLORER using GEOREFERENCED TIFF IMAGES
(DEM) with Township and Range, Wells, ABT Transect lines, Towns, Cities
and Roads for Alberta.

Create a directory on your hard drive.

If you do not have ArcView 3.x or higher or ArcExplorer install:

ArcExplorer 3 [~12.5MB
zipped] (JAVA) for Windows 98, Windows NT (sp3), 2000 or Solaris.

ArcExplorer 1.1 [~x.xxMB] for Windows 95 or
higher. (under construction, download 3a [15MB],
below).

Download one of the following files in
the directory created in step #1 :

aegis_abtlitho2001.exe [15MB zipped
~ 22MB unzip] - contains shape (SHP) & Georeferenced
potential Field TIFF images with
ArcEXPLORER 1.1*
for Windows. (run:
aeclient.exe to install on WINDOWS 95 or higher).

gis_abtlitho2001.exe
[7.6MB zipped
~ 15MB
unzipped] - contains shape (SHP) &
Georeferenced Potential field TIFF images. Will run on ArcEXPLORER* or
ArcVIEW 3.2* (WINDOWS 95 or higher).

3d_gis_litho.exe [8.9MB
zipped ~ 18.5MB unzipped] - contains shape (SHP), TIN
& Georeferenced
potential Field TIFF images requires
ArcVIEW 3.2* with 3D Analyst*
for Windows, which is not included. (WINDOWS 95 or higher).
(Any of the above downloads are compatible with
ArcView 3.1 and higher. ArcView can be purchased from your local
ESRI dealer. www.gis.com )

RUN SELF EXTRACTING
ZIP FILE in that
same directory.
If you downloaded lgisae.exe run aeclient.exe
to install ArcExplorer (WINDOWS 95 or higher). Or download the
latest ArcExplorer for your operating system.
NOTE:
-
ArcEXPLORER or ArcVIEWER need to
be installed.

On older computers the
georeferenced images ( ~ 1MB - 2.5MB) can be slow.

Periodically check ESRI
site for latest releases of ArcEXPLORER.
